CUTE FTP

Double click the "Cuteftp" icon on your desktop. You will get an "Important Notice" screen as shown below.

 
 

Click on "OK".

 
 

You will get "FTP Site Manager" screen automatically as shown below

 
 

Click on "addsite" button. You will get "Add Host" screen as shown below

 
 

Fill up the blank fields as shown above. Site label - Company Name (you can give whatever name you want). Host Address-domain name i.e. www.domain.com;
User Id - User name given to you. Password - Password given to you. Keep the Login type 'Anonymous'. Keep the Transfer type 'Auto-Detect'. Keep the Host type 'Auto-Detect'.
Keep the remaining fields blank.
 

 
 

Click 'OK'. Again You will go to "FTP Site Manager" screen as shown above.

Select the site that you have added and click "Connect".

 
 

You will be connected to your site automatically after checking the User Id and Password as shown above.

Your window will be divided into two parts. Left frame will be your local system and right frame will be Server. Go to the folder where you have all the files that you want to upload in your local system. (Left frame).

 
 

Once you get connected to your site you will get a "Login Messages" screen as shown above.

In that screen you will get "Site Administrator FTP Instructions". Go through the instructions carefully. Click "OK".

   

By default you will find "Web" folder in the right frame under "/users/usersftp" folder as shown above.

Click the small yellow button in the right top corner of the right frame which will take you one level up. Click the button again to go another lever up. That means you have to click the button "twice". Thus, you will go to "/" (root) directory.

   

There you will find some folders as shown above.

Double click the "Web" folder.

   

Now select all the files that you want to upload in the local system (i.e., left frame). Right click the mouse where you can find an option called "upload" as shown above Click it.

   

All the files will be uploaded into the server. Once the process is finished, you will get a message -"Done" in the top frame, (which tells you the status). as shown above -

You have to give the next required commands for uploading the files (after 'done' shows for every command) within 300 seconds time or else it will give a 'Noop' command & will give a ' No Transfer Time out [300 seconds] closing control connection' as shown below.

   

After which, we will only have to reconnect again (click the fourth icon on the top) in order to upload the remaining files from where we left.

SOME IMPORTANT POINTS : - (If you want to download the files from the server to your local system)

  • Select the required files which are under Web folder in the right frame.

  • Right click the mouse where you can find an option called "Download".

  • Click it. All the selected files will be downloaded to your local system.

  • If you want to create a new folder on the server, to rename the files, to delete the files, to change the directory, to change the file attributes - right click the mouse, where you can find all the options.

Make sure - you uploaded all the files in the web directory which is under root only.

You can check your site online through the browser
